Christmas Sweater Crisis

Dear Yachtie...
My aunt Sarah gave me a really ugly sweater last Christmas and she will be at our party this year. She asked me to wear my sweater but my boyfriend will be there and I don't want to be embarrassed. What should I do?

Dear Anonymous...
That sounds like a Christmas Fashion Crisis! Me advice would be to wearrrr the sweater and inform your boyfriend you are wearing the ghastly thing to appease your aunt. Be confident in your ability to rock your sweater; confidence is SEXY!  Also, you’ll be warm and cuddly all night, while appeasing your aunt. I would also bet you would making your aunt very very happy! And isn't that what life is about? Helping and making people happy? Har har! No worries, me mermaid, it can’t be uglier than me kraken sweater. Best of luck at yer holiday party! Ahoy,

How did you feel?

Dear Yachtie...
Recently, students were asked if they wished to replace you. This must of been a heartbreaking situation. How hopeless. How did you get through it?

Dear Anonymous...

AAARRRG, I’ll be in Davy Jones’ locker before they replace me aarrrg. I am the reason we have won so many home varsity games! I respect the wishes of FHS students, but I love being yer mascot. Hopefully ye don’t cast me away on the high seas to a desert island. Ahoy matey, thanks fer yer sympathy. :D

Party Problems

Dear Yachtie,
I don't have any friends....but my mom wants me to have a party and I don't have any one to invite...what should i do?

Dear Party Problems,
Thank you for writing, because Yachtie sees this problem every day! First, if you really don’t want to have a party you should tell your mom that, because she is an important support system. Yet, if you’ve been wanting to get out and be social, this could be the perfect opportunity. Falmouth High School is full of people that I’m sure would love to attend a small party, even if they don’t yet know you very well. You don’t need to have best friends to invite, you could invite a couple people you sit next to in class to study or work on something together and then watch a movie afterwards! I’d recommend staying confident and trusting yourself...that’s the best service you can give yourself! If you have trouble orchestrating things to do with people, I think volunteering is a great way to bond with new people, because you don’t have to worry about creating an activity to do together! You may be surprised how many folks would love to share an afternoon or evening with you. It can be as casual as you want, no need for a big bash. I’d suggest my favorite movie, finding Nemo. In fact, I have been in this position before, and I understand it could be scary and hard. Take a leap of faith, getting to know some of your classmates better may work out well!
Best of luck in ye party endeavors!

Announcement: Hey, sorry guys we haven't posted anything in a while. We have all your submissions and we're going through all of them. Thing is this was the first week and we're still getting the hang of things. This is just the start and we hope to reply and answer more quickly in the future. But don't worry we'll get to all of them, especially the more serious ones. This is the first time we've done this and we're learning more and more. Sorry about the inconvenience guys!

Bored

Dear Yachtie...
It's Friday night, what should I do?
-Anonymous

If I were you I would curl up on the couch and relax. Maybe watch a movie with friends or family. (My favorite movie is Finding Nemo) It's important to give your brain a rest, especially if you had a busy week. Also, whenever I'm bored and i've gone through my nautical movie collection, I like to pick up a new hobby, like knitting or knot tying.

P.S- Need more suggestions for activities? Feel free to write in again!

Chocolate Glazed or Jelly?

Dear Yachtie....
I am incredibly hungry and I don't know what I want from Dunkin Donuts. I love all the donuts! Any help?
-Tim Horton

Thanks for writing in Tim! My advice to you is always go with the coffee cake. It's the most bang for your buck. It's also my favorite grub on the high seas!
